The schemes below illustrate the appearance of the park in 1920 compared to its current state.
Overall, it is evident that the park has undergone significant changes, including the addition of a café, a water feature, and the removal of the fountain. Furthermore, the stage for musicians has been expanded and transformed into an amphitheater, which is now used for concerts.
Examining the maps in more detail, it can be seen that the main rose garden has been established in the center of the park, where the fountain used to be. Additionally, the pond that previously held water plants has now been converted into a playground for children. The number of seats remains the same, though they have all been relocated to the headquarters of ‘Grange Park.’ Furthermore, a new entrance has been added to the southeast side of the park.
On the other hand, some areas of ‘Grange Park’ have not changed, including the two main entrances located on the north and south sides of the park. Despite the removal of the fountain and pond, the current version of the park offers a wider range of entertainment options with the introduction of the water feature and the play area.
