The presented plans illustrate how the university’s sport center will be changed after the future reconstruction. Overall, all parts of the center will become indoor, including a new pool and dance studios, and the existing outdoor courts will be deconstructed.
Today, the sport center includes a small building with mainly a pool as a central spot, a gym on the northern side and the reception zone right in front of the southern entrance. In addition, two outdoor courts are located in the west and the east from the main building.
At the same time, the reconstruction plan suggests that the indoor area will be significantly extended, and the outdoor zones will be demolished. One of the main noticeable alterations is introducing a huge pool for leisure on the western side of the building on the place of one of the deconstructed courts. Moreover, the gym is going to be extended and a several new rooms will be built such as a big sports hall next to the main pool area, dance studios on the east, with almost every room attached to its separate changing room. Finally, a café and a small shop in the reception area on the southern side of the building finalize the plan of the reconstruction.
