The illustration depicts how pineapple fruits are planted and maken products from them.
Overall, the linear diagram consists of 2 main parts which are cultivation in field that takes presumably 1 year and then factory processing which is sorting and creating products for selling.
First of all, the cultivation begins with planting pineapple crowns in rows 0.26 m apart. When growing the temperatue must be between 28 and 30 degrees and the sunlight must be abundant. This is because these conditions are optimal for young pineapples. After 7 months, the plants are treated with ethylene under the sunlight to promote ripening. After approximately 5 months, the mature harvests, that have 0.3 m height and 2 kg weight, are ready for picking.
Once collected, the pineapples are washed thoroughly and sorted according to size. The smallest ones are sent to extractor, where juice is prodused and poured into containers. The medium-size fruits are peeled, sliced and canned for preservation. The largest ones are sent to be covered with wax and packed directly for exporting(typically by ships). In this way, all the harvested pineapples are utilized to make products and sell.
