Overall, 35-54 years remained the largest age goup in both years, although its share dropped considerably. Similarly, 25-34 years category saw a moderate decline, whereas the figure of the rest of age groups—0-15 years, 16-24 years, and 55+ years— increased significantly.
In 1983, 35-54 years group accounted for the half of total visitors, making up 50%. 25-34 years category was the second-largest age group at 20%, followed by 55+ years at 16%. 0-15 and 16-24 years were relatively minor, providing 10% and 4% tourists rescpectively.
By 2003, 35-54 age goup’s share had dropped to 35%, though it still dominated. 55+ category rose to 26%, overtaking 25-34 years which fell to 12%. 0-15 age group also saw a slight increase from 10% to 12%, while 16-24 years soared to 15%, representing the most noticeable change in the chart.
