The given table shows the amount of money police budget got from three different sources in 2017 and 2018, and pie charts compare that years in terms of how the amount of money was shared.
Overall, more money was generated from national government, local taxes and other sources, such as grants, in 2018 compared to that made the year before. Notably, the higher proportion of money was spent for officers’ salaries, while the reverse was true for technology and for buildings and transport.
Looking for the table in more detail, in 2017, national government brought 175.5 million pounds for the police budget with its rate being the highest. One year later, its rate rose to 177.8, remaining dominant. Local taxes, the second most money generating source, made 91.2 million pounds in 2017 and 102.3 millions after one year. Initially, the rate of other sources (grants) was 38 and increased to constitute 38.5 in 2018. The total quantity of money brought from three previously-mentioned sources was 304.7 million pounds in 2017, 318.6 million pounds were made in 2018.
Turning to the charts, the highest percentage of money was spent for salaries of staff in both given years: 75% in 2017 and 69% in 2018. The share of money spent for technology was only 8% initially; nevertheless, its indicator increased to make up 14 in the following year. Regardless of given years, the proportion of money spent for buildings and technology was equal, showing 17%.
