The table and pie charts illustrate the sources of police budget and how it was spent in one area of Britain over the one-years period between 2017 and 2018.
Overall, from the table it can be clearly seen that the budget grew over time and most of the funds came from the national government. The charts show that the vast majority of expenditure was officers’ and staffs’ salaries.
Regarding to the table, the national government provided the largest amount of funding, which increased from175.5m to 177.8m over the period. This was followed by local taxes revenues of 91.2m in 2017, which rose to 102.3m in 2018. Other sources included grants provided a slightly growing amount of money from 98m to 98.5m. Together, these sources expanded the police budget from 304.7m to 318.6m over the giving period.
In terms of expenditure, in 2017 he salaries (officers and staff) accounted for the 75%, which was the largest share, but over time they decreased by 6%. In contrast, the technology payment had a minor upward tend from 8% to 14%. In addition, the proportion of spending om building and transport remained unhunched with 17% throughout the period in question.
