The table illustrates the number of research students in australian universities in 2001 and 2010, while the data is segregated in local and international students. However, the pie graph elucidate the percentages of local and non local student of both sexes.
In 2001 the total number of research students were approximately 38,849. The majority of students were local i.e 33,657, while the rest 5,192 were international students. However, In 2010, a pronounce increase was recorded, as the sum rose to 54,081 from 38.849. The majority of it’s part comprised of local students i.e 39,488, while 14,593 were the international students in 2010.
On the contrary, pie graph presents the percentage of local and non local students for both the sexes, i.e male and female. The perentage of international student in 2001 was 13%, in which major contribution was the female students i.e 9%. While the rest 87% belonged to local research students comprise of 44% of male students and 43% of female students. In 2010, with the increase in the sum of studnts, the percentage of international students rose to 27%, while the major contribution was of male students i.e 15%. The rest 73% belonged to local students, the disturbution of both the sexes was almost equivalent i.e 36% female and 385 males.
In summary, the table and pie chart perspicuously presented data for the research students in 2001 and 2010. However, the sum increased noticeably in 2010.
