Overall, there was a most discernible upward line for people’s use of a car, who had two cars, the opposite of this occasion, the line for people with no car dramatically went down. However, the community of UK with one car remained stable in the period of 36 years. Moreover, in the graph, there were the people with three or more cars started from beginning and increased to high percent.
Firstly, the community’s regular use of a vehicle, with no car, started went down considerably in 1971, from percentage of nearly 48% to 25% in 2007. While the owners with two cars started to follow the opposite tendency, from approximately percentage of 9% to 28%, in 1971-2007 years. In the other hand, the owners with one car stayed unchanged and fluctuated between the percentage of 45-47%.
Furthermore, the households with three or more cars, went up slightly from 1979. Until to 1979, track did not change, remained stable from 1971.
