The line graph gives data on the percentages of people who owned automobiles in the UK between 1975 and 2005.

Overall, there were two upward trends in the percentages of car owners, while the reverse was true for people who did not own a single car. It is also clear that people with a car did not lose its leadership over the period given.

Two and three car owners had been the lowest figure from 1975 to 2005, despite the slight rise. Percentages of people with two cars started between 5% and 10%, and this was followed by negligible growth in 1985 and 1995, ending at above 15%. The figure for three car owner was quite similar. It began with less than 5% and rose throughout the years given, reaching 9% at the end.

Percentages of people with one and no car were almost same in 1975 with around 45% each. Proportion of single car ownerships dipped slightly in 1985 and recovered at the end of the period in question. However, percentages of people, who did not owned a car, saw a dramatic fall by 20% and in 2005 it was less than 25%.
