The table compares different age groups of UK citizens in terms of their visits to Spain in two years – 1981 and 2015.
Overall, the rate of all people from different age categories showed an upward trajectory, albeit with varying levels of growth, except the rate of 25-35 and 35-45 people who experienced a downward trend. Of particular significance are the 25-35 people who were the top visitors in both years.
In 1981, an impressive 50% of UK citizens who were 25-35 years old visited Spain. However, this rate dropped to 32% by 2015. The proportions of those who were 35-45 followed a similar falling pattern, starting from 22% and ending to 12%.
When it comes to UK folks over 55, only 16% of them travelled to Spain in 1981, from this point onwards, this figure rose significantly to 25% in 2015. Starting with 10% the percentage of children (0-15) jumped slightly to 12% by 2015. In terms of 16-24 youngsters, despite being a minority at the beginning of the period (4%), it then soared to 15% at the end.
