The map illustrates the comparison of an island before and after it was renovated. The area used to be unspoilt with the vegetation here and there until new facilities were installed in order to develop tourism.
Before the new constructions were made, the island was a piece of land covered with a few woods on the east and west, completely surrounded by the sea.
After the refurbishment, the land has become more lively with the accommodation facilities such as bungalows in the central and western parts of the land. The staycation sites have been connected with the foodpath so the visitors can take a stroll around. In the middle of the island is the reception from where the guests can walk through the bungalows and down the beach, along the footpath. Activities such as swimming can be done at the beach. On the southern part of the island is the restaurant, from where the footpath continues reaching to the pier, the parking lot for the boats and ships.
In summary, a considerable amount of changes have been done over a period. Despite being modernized, the island’s natural treasure – the coconut plants in the east and west have still been untouched.
