The pictures depict the transformation of an original island landscape subsequent to the erection of various tourist amenities.
Overall, the island underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the vast appearance of the accommodation complex and the establishment of some facilities and services catering to the growing tourist number and recreational needs.
In the west of the island, the seaside area stayed the same but was made accessible to both tourists and locals alike for leisurely swims. Adjacent to the shoreline, several residential areas, together with a dining spot and a reception center, were built to accommodate the increasing influx of visitors as well as provide necessary services. New pathways and vehicle routes were also created to allow convenient access to these facilities.
In the central part of the island, additional shelter complexes were constructed, and a new pier was also introduced to improve the island’s entertainment service, with the availability of sailing boats. To the eastern part of the island, no changes were made, preserving the existing green area and the open space.
