In 1815, the town had a dense forest on its west side which later became an industrial zone with sparser greeneries. Beside the industrial zone, the 2015 map displays a hospitial. In the older map, unlike in the more recent map, there was still no bridge connecting Fort from the west to the middle Bridleway. The 2015 version now has an airport in the south, above where River Dal is.
