Dear Sarah,
Hope you’re doing great. I can’t believe how time flies; as, I still remember you as a young cheerful teenager.
Since you have asked about my experience during my year abroad, I wanted to give you some heads-up. As your brother may have told you, I spent a year in Canada as a researcher just before graduation. During my time in Canada, I learned a lot about building meaningful communications with Canadian people, I got the chance to stay in a dorm with several natives, and became familiar with Canadian traditions.
I believe that the effort was totally worth it, because I made several useful connections during that time, which were extremely helpful during my job hunting period. I couldn’t have my present job, unless I had spent a year as a researcher in my current company. Therefore, I highly recommend you to have the same experience; because, it will benefit you in the years to come.
Hope to see you soon.
Best regards,
Arash
