The given maps illustrate how a Happy Valley shopping center developed over 30 yaers period between 1982 and 2012. Overall, it can be observed that there were extensive developments in terms of construction of stores, parking lot, and restaurant facilities.
It is appearent that the lake made way for furniture retail store. Some trees which lies to the southest of shopping center was substitude with parking area. Thus, a path and a lobby area were removed, but the entrance was not changed. Besides, in entertainment area and toilets, elevator did not witness a change over the mention period. Coffee store where is situated in the top left hand corner of shopping center, was destroyed.
