The diagram illustrates how rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town. Overall, rainwaters don’t go straight into the usage of citizens but applying multiple process step by step to make drinking water.
It is seen that rainwater that falls on the roof of the house then goes through the drain. The drains of the houses passes the water filter which is connected to the storage where the waters are prepared to have the next treatment. Then rainwaters go back to the houses in a form of drinking water.
First step is very crucial because all the houses has an interconnected drainage system underground which is essential for collecting all the water. Whereas the last step adds chemicals to the end processed water.
To conclude, rainwaters are reused as consumer safety water that is consumed in our daily basis. By applying filtering, storing and chemical treatment procedure the citizens in the Australian town uses the rainwater as a course of their drinking water.
