Overall, in the line graph was shown amount of visits abroad by UK residents is higher, than the amount of visits in UK by outlanders. Furthermore, the most popular country to visit among UK residents was France, while the lowest country in popularity was Turkey.
While the number visits to foreign countries by residents of UK went up sharply to roughly 20 million in 1984, the number of visits in UK by outlanders touched above 10 million at the same time. Then, there was a dramatic growth in the number of visits by UK residents over the whole periods, so the amount reached about 50 million in 1999. While visits in UK by overseas residents went through a period of steady increase to almost 30 million.
Afterwards, France hit greater than 10 million visits by UK residents. Next, Spain which was the second by UK residents visits, so it was below 10 million. USA and Greece had approximately simultaneous number of visits under 5 million. Eventually, the lowest country by visits was Turkey with about 3 million visits
