The bar charts gives information about the number of cigarette smokers, categorised to men and women, from 2011 to 2021 in the UK, and is measured in millions At first glance, it is evident that the men smoked far more than the women. It is also clear that despite some fluctuations, both men and women in the UK experienced a significant fall in the number of smokers.
In 2011, the number of men smokers stood at approximately 4.1 millions of people. Followed by a dramatical fall to 2.8 millions in the following 2 years. Then 2014 to 2020 saw some fluctuations and finally the number stopped at 3 times lower than where it started.
While the women didn’t have much different pattern than the men. Although throughout the time period, it can be seen that the women often being half lower from the men. The number then hit the low of only 0.8 millions in the end of the period, which is three fourths lower than the men
