Dear Mr. Brown,

I am writing this email to inform you that i will not be able to start my new position next week as decided.

It is due to my dental appointment. I was having a problem since past two week and recently found out that my lower back tooth got damaged, due to excess soda water consumption . Doctor advice me, that i would consider root canal which can stop more damage; otherwise they have to remove lower tooth and it will be more painful than root canal.

I was trying to arrange my appointment before my joining date but was not able to as doctor is not in town for this week and coming next week on my joining date. if you allow me to join later next week would really help me to recover from pain and can start my new position with out any worry.

I hope you understand my situation and allow me to start later next week.
