I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing to ask for your help with a surprise birthday party I’m planning for our close friend.

I want to organise the party next Saturday evening, but I need your support to make it special. Could you help me choose a good place and invite some of our friends without letting him know? Also, do you have any ideas for a gift he would really like?
