Dear Alex,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m writing because I’m organising a surprise birthday party for our close friend Sam, and I really need your help to make everything go smoothly.

There are a few tasks I would like you to handle. First, could you take care of the decorations? You have great taste, so I’m sure you can choose something fun but not too expensive. Also, it would be great if you could organise the music playlist for the evening.

The party will be held next Saturday, the 18th of March, at my apartment. I’m planning to start at around 7 p.m., and everyone will arrive a bit earlier so that we can surprise him when he walks in.

Since we’re planning food, drinks, and a small gift, I’m asking each person to contribute around $20 to cover the costs. If that’s okay with you, you can just bring it on the day.

Let me know as soon as you can. I really hope you’ll be able to help – Sam will be so happy!
