Dear Sir or Madam,
As someone who loves caring for children, I was delighted to see your recent advertisement in ABC magazine seeking a babysitter in Australia for six months. Looking after a child requires a lot of energy and attention to detail, but I enjoy it wholeheartedly. I believe that my five years of babysitting paired with my diploma in childcare make me a suitable candidate to be the newest caregiver for your little one.
I currently babysit two young girls, aged six and eight years old. I have helped both learn through educational games and assistance with homework, while also creating a calm and positive home atmosphere for when they’re not focused on school-related activities. During my three years with this family, I’ve received nothing but positive feedback from both parents and children. Unfortunately, they are moving out of state next month, but with change comes a new opportunity!
Besides spending time with your child, I plan to actively engage with the local culture. This includes exploring Australia’s renowned coffee culture and experiencing the unique culinary offerings. Furthermore, I intend to participate in outdoor activities, taking advantage of Australia’s beautiful landscapes and engaging in social activities to broaden my understanding of Australian life. This balanced approach will ensure I maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing positively to your family’s life.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further. I am available for an interview at your convenience and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Jennifer Lo
