Band 5+: You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter, describe the situation, explain your problems and why it is difficult to work and say what kind of accommodation you would prefer.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention the issues I have been having with my current new mate. She has vividly turned our room to a marketplace.

To elaborate more on the situation, my roommate started making baked cakes and fresh drinks for profit purpose. The issue is that she uses the room for her business, she stocks her products in the room as well as sells them there, thus giving room for calibers of people to have access to room and invade our privacies. I lost some valuable items as a result of this, and my mental health is also affected, coupled with that I can no longer study in the room during the day.

I kindly request to relocate me or my roommate to a different accommodation so that the issue will not result to a fight. I would appreciate it if you could put me in any of the one-man rooms at the admin block. I would not mind paying extra for it as long as I get my mental health back.
