Overall there are two processes. The first process is making new paper from trees. The second process is recycling old newspapers into new paper. Both processes have several steps.

First trees are cut down. After that, the bark is removed from the wood. Next, the wood is cut into small pieces. These small pieces go into a machine to make pulp. Then the pulp is pressed. After that, it is rolled into large rolls of paper. Finally, the paper is used for printing newspapers.

The recycling process starts after people use newspapers. First, the used newspapers are collected. Then the ink is removed from the paper. After that, the paper goes into a machine and becomes pulp again. This pulp is mixed and cleaned. Next, it is pressed in another machine. After this step, the paper is rolled into large rolls again.

In the last step. The new recycled paper is used to print newspapers. These newspapers can be collected again after people read them. Then the same recycling process starts again. In this way, old newspapers become new paper, and fewer trees are needed. This process helps save trees and keeps the environment cleaner.
