The six pie charts illustrate the distribution of water usage in six regions of the world, divided into industrial, agricultural and domestic sectors.
Overall, the Central Asia allocates the largest share of its water to agricultural use, likewise Africa, south east Asia and south America. However, north America and Europe uses water mostly in industrial purposes.
In Central Asia agricultural use makes up 88%, which is higher than in Africa, South America and South East Asia, 84%, 71%, 81% respectively. Regarding North America and Europe, they are 39% and 32% respectively, which is much lower than in other regions.
On the contrary, the industrial distribution of water are much higher in North America and Europes comparing to other areas. While Europe accounts for just above half and North America for 48%, the other regions are making up 10% and 9% for South America and Africa, and for 5% in Central and for 12% in South East Asia. In contrast, in South America and Europe regions domestic usage of water are slightly higher than in North America, Africa, Central and South East Asia. South Americans shares of water in domestic usage accounts for 19%, while in Europe is 15%. However in North America this figures reaching for 13%, but in Africa this figures accounts for 9%. In Central and South East Asia the numbers are the same, making up 7% respectively.
