The chart provides the data on percentage of four various materials recycled between 1982 and 2010 in a specific area.
Overall, the proportion of recycled aluminium cans rised up significantly over the several decades. The amount of reprocessed plastic and glass containers remains relatively stable with the slight increase over the given period.
Aluminium cans’ recycling rate growth is the most rapid on the chart. Starting from almost zero in 1986, this country recycled almost the half of this material in 2010. Plastic processing began to take place only in 1990, and was gradually increasing up to one tenth.
Between 1982 and 1990 the proportion of recycled glass containers declined by 10%. Around two thirds of paper and cardboard materials were recycled during at same time. Interestingly, right after glass recycling rate that started to grow up to 60% in total. On the other hand, the amount of recycled paper-made products rapidly increased by approximately 15% just in four years, but later its percentage had a continious decline, resulting at 70%.
