The bar graph illustrates how much time was spent on paid and unpaid jobs on a daily basis among five age groups.
It is readily apparent that almost all categories spent more time on paid work than on unpaid work, except those aged 55 and over. Respondents aged 25-34 spent the highest amount of time doing paid work, while people aged 16-24 spent the least time on unpaid work. In addition, the data reveals that older people spent more time on unpaid work, compared to young people.
The amount of time spent on paid jobs for individuals aged 16-24 and 25-34 stood at 7 and 8 hours, respectively. They spent 2 and 3 hours on unpaid work, respectively.
Turning to adults aged 35-44, they spent 6 hours on paid work, while people aged 45-54 devoted 5 hours to it. The amount of time spent on unpaid work was identical, both registering 4 hours. By contrast, adults aged 55 and over spent 5 hours on unpaid work and 4 hours on paid work.
