Hi Mar,
How are you doing? It’s lovely to hear from you. Sorry that I didn’t reply sooner, I’ve been really busy with an important project.
I’d like to give you some recommendations about places to live. When I was studying, I used to live in an apartment very close to the University building. I strongly suggest you to look for shared accommodation, as it’ll allows you to save money for your monthly expenses. Although I had to share it with a flatlmate, we got along pretty well. I’d love to have had an individual flat, however, it was extremely expensive.
As there was a wide range of living options, It wasn’t difficult for me to find a comfortable place. However, you need to pay close attention before signing any contract. There are many people who fall under scams and they lose all their savings. Another important advice is to check the apartment in person before renting. You probably will find a lot of photos in websites that are not correctly updated. All these are common mistakes that students make when they are about to choose accommodation. Please, I ask you to be careful at this point.
I hope these suggestions will be useful for you. Drop me a line if you need any help.
Lots of love,
Vicky.
