It is true that numerous wildlife species around the globe are dying out, and whether to place their survival on top or to focus more on human problems is a controversial problem. I am under the impression that all resources should be spent on preserving wildlife, and I will discuss both views in the following essay.
On the first hand, resources should be invested into human problems for a variety of reasons. Firtsly, issues such as poverty, unemployment, famine and health problems can cause humans to suffer greatly, affecting both their living and health conditions. Therefore, money should be invested to aid those in need and to improve people’s lives, ensuring the welfare of human beings in the upcoming future. Another point I would like to make is that when resources are fully concentrated on human issues, people would be aware that they are helped and given a hand, leading to higher appreciation of what they have. As a result, people will waste less food and water and energy, which is extremely beneficial.
However, I am convinced that all resources should be focused on saving animals. It can be seen that humans have caused plenty of problems for the earth, such as global warming and they are also responsible for the disappearance of wildlife. For this reason, money should be spent on preserving animals to make up for all the problems that humans have caused, as we should not be unselfish and only think for ourselves. In addition, the extinction of various species can have its consequences. If some species die out, the biodiversity system will not be as various, leading to the disbalance in the natural foodchain.
In brief, while people are still disagreeing about whether the resources should be spent only on humans or not, I stand for protecting animals to prevent their extinction.
