People claim that medicine should be available for all people across the globe. There are certain global advantages and disadvantages of free medicine for all. This essay will try to evaluate both advantages and drawbacks of free medicine.
In my view, free medicine for all citizens means that there are automatically more valuable chances to combat such diseases like cancer that jeopardizes the lives of people globally, and has become a real threat to global population, no matter if a person is doing good financially, or struggles to earn money. In case of free medicine for all – stakes to win this deadly disease are much higher even if initially a person could not afford to purchase expensive medicaments or undergo expensive treatments. Moreover, that concerns not only cancer, but other diseases, like HIV or AIDS. Furthermore, we often see how parents struggle to fund treatments for their children with serious and dangerous illnesses, and free medicine for all can aid to cure these diseases. Thus, free medicine that is available for everyone can potentially pave the way for an improving of the global health security.
Despite the fact that free medicine for everybody certainly has its advantages, its problem is that working on creating medicaments and researches must be funded, as without financial support it is impossible to work, collaborate and investigate for improvements in efficiency of treatments. Scientists and doctors should not be working on researches and discovering methods of treatments for free. Therefore, this is a serious obstacle that can get in a way of shedding a light on significant discoveries, crucial for curing dangerous illnesses.
In conclusion, free medicine for all people in the world is an importand and without any doubt beneficial perspective. However, from my perspective, it is still fairly impossible to instill it globally, as the obstacle of its funding is a serious issue that stands in the way of acquiring free medicine globally.
