When traveling, they usually just stay in their hotel, but some people go out and explore the city. Most of the people these days when traveling just stay in their resort or hotel. This essay is going to talk about the difference between tourism in the past and present.
Some hotels or resorts are expensive and that might be the reason why they don’t want to explore the city. Moreover, they have already spent a lot of money on the hotel and it will be such a waste of money not to enjoy the facilities given. Because of that, they would rather enjoy the hotel than exploring the city. For example, when my family goes to a hotel that is expensive we usually just stay in the hotel and go to swim or play in the playground.
Tourism in the present was quite different from the past. People in the past usually explored everywhere they went. However, people in the present usually like to stay in their hotel and not go anywhere else. People in the past usually got more experience of the place but people these days get no experience because they just stay and enjoy their expensive hotel. For instance, my family in the past went to Hong Kong. When they get there they don’t just stay in the hotel. They explored everywhere, like disneyland, museum and other facilities.
In conclusion, people in the past would rather explore and learn about the place they visit, while many people today would just stay comfortable in their hotel. This shows how tourism has changed through time.
