There is a newfound belief that electric cars should completely substitute cars that use fossil fuels ; not only that but also ban fossil fuel requiring cars. In my opinion, I disagree with this view because it does not consider the enormous industrial lose and the communities that are not able to purchase electric cars.
When placing such a strict law about the switch to electric cars , they should consider the humongous waste created. Furthermore, when we ban the already existing fossil fuel using cars ,they will ultimately become trash and create pollution and damage , which might harm our environment and health. For example, if a certain country with 20,000,000 fossil fuel utilizing and 100,000 electric cars implements the ban on fossil fuel usage. 20,000,000 cars will become a national burden and will most likely not be disposed of properly.
Purchasing a new car is already expensive as it is, so just imagine how much more expensive an all-time high demand electric car will be and to be purchased at such a small time-frame . Not to mention that the majority of any country’s population is categorized as “middle class” ,meaning that they won’t be able to afford such a demanding changing. To illustrate, an average car’s closing price is 10,000 USD , which is usually acquired after several years of rigorous saving, and the average electric can currently checks out at 50,000 USD. How will they be able to afford that? They won’t babe able to.
To sum up, an electric car-only restriction is not a proper and realistic law to be set. Due to the fact that such a change will create a significant impact to our surroundings and as it fails to consider lower-income societies.
