In view of rise in world population over years, leads to increase car ownership rapidly over the past thirty years which causes many cities in the world to traffic jams. We can visibly see a increase in traffic jam at peak hours due to rise in individual car ownerships, which also caused increase in air pollution.

In fact, nowadays every individual owns separate car for travel which causes an increase in traffic jam because people doesn’t tend to prefer public transport. In addition teenagers has a perspective that owning a individual car and travelling by car to universities, colleges as a attitude towards pride, this causes lead up to traffic jam. Due to rise in road accidents people started avoiding to use two wheeler and started to prefer using four wheeler caused increase in traffic jam. Furthermore people started using car for single person travel, we can observe 70% cars in road are travelled by single passenger it’s also a main cause in rise of traffic jam.

Governments can stick up with new rules, for example in Delhi while it had a huge increase in air pollution state implemented a law that on Monday and alternative days only odd number ending cars should alone travel. whereas on Tuesday and alternative days only even number registration cars should travel, which directly had a impact in decrease air pollution, fall in traffic jam and increase in usage of public transport. Even they can implement some other set of new rules to decrease in car ownership sales. Mainly government needs to focus in development of new public transport or increase the availability of public transport by reaching popular location and by increasing the frequency. They need to improve infrastructures of road to avoid accidents which allows people to use other mode of travel.

Therefore to resolve the increase in traffic jam, government needs to initiate new set of rules for people and developing the public transport as an ease access to everyone.
