From my point of view, there are many reasons for this problem, primarily due to family environment and media influence. This essay will discuss these reasons and bring forward some solutions to tackle this issue.
At the outset, there are numerous of factors contributing to an increase in crime among young individuals. One of them is the effect of family environment. In other words, youngsters who grow up without parental supervision a more likely to suffer from substance abuse. This can gradually broken family where neglect and violence of parents are. Growing up in such an environment negatively affect their characteristic and their world view. To meet this need, it is in necessary that to raise people’s awareness about consequences about committing crime. Furthermore, limiting children exposed in appropriate environment is also important. Another possible answer is improving access to quality education where young people can learn more life skills. This can helps them to have a more diverse look on life, thereby reducing the chances of getting involved in criminal activities.
Furthermore, media influence is a second contributor for increasing crime rate of young people. As social media plays an important role in today’s life, it can have big impact on young people’ behaviors and actions. If youngsters are exposed to inappropriate contents, they are prone to be influenced badly by them. It is advised that young people take part in mentorship and support groups to learn to be more selective with online content.
