Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, an increasing number of technological tools, such as robots, are being used at the workplace instead of human workers. I firmly believe that the pros of this phenomenon outweigh the drawbacks because machines can significantly enhance the profitability and productivity of a company.
One potential benefit of this practice is that the modern machinery can work tirelessly 24/7 without taking any break. This will result in more revenue and work efficiency without being supervised by a human. For example, different Walmart stores around the globe are using robots for stacking their grocery items, which has not only doubled their annual profit, but also cut down their expenses of labor. Before the introduction of robots, they were entirely dependent on humans, whose attitude to work was not progressive. Therefore, due to these reasons, I believe that the worlds will greatly benefit of these machines in every sector.
On the other hand, these machines have taken numerous jobs, which increase the unemployment rate. This is because many organizations replace their workers with machines and automate the work process. Consequently, many individuals are finding hardships in search of employment opportunities. For instance, Twitter CEO Elon Musk laid-off 80% of his company employees and makes the application more user-friedendly with the help of AI and machine learning.
To sum up, although machines will take-over a majority of jobs, it is my belief that the increase in work productivity for employers has many more benefits than the loss of work opportunities for the humans.
