A considerable number of individuals have a belief that technology contributes to less creativeness in children than before. I partly agree with this view, as people allocate a limited amount of time to real life problems and spend more time on digital apps, but I believe that state-of-the-art tools and equipment can improve creativity.
To begin with, the use of cutting-edge technology has experienced rise over the past years, and this affects the problem-solving skills of young people. They spend excessive amounts of time on screens, resulting in fewer real-life challenges. Thus, their creativity starts to decrease, and their imagination suffers by this. Another example is that youth avoid face-to-face conversation because of smartphones and others, therefore, they do not learn new techniques and methods. For instance, using such devices makes them unable to foster their soft skills and diminishes their ability to imagine.
Secondly, digital platforms are developed throughout the years. This development helps those who want to improve by doing tests, quizzes and puzzles. Hence, the young will be ready for new tasks in the future. On the other hand, video games and coding programs challenge kids to think critically and force them to solve hard and complex problems. For instance, these games require logical thinking, strategy and creativity to progress. Online sites let children collab with their peers around the world on creative projects. Students can create digital stories and much more by using apps and programs like scratch and google docks.
In conclusion, high-tech tools prevent youngsters from psychical activities, and this influences them negatively. But certain apps and sites can help those who want to improve their critical thinking skills by solving hard questions alone or with their peers around the globe.
