Nowadays, countries engage in cultural and business exchanges more than ever. While some consider this trend a desirable one, others are concerned that the loss of the national identity. While i acknowledge the benefit this trend brings to the world, i do not believe that it is a positive development on the whole globe.
Initially, cultural homogeneity presents a number of positives to the world. First and foremost, globalization has contributed to economic growth by opening up markets, increasing trades and encouraging investment across borders. Countries can export their goods and service to international markets, which boosts national economies. Furthermore, globalization has spurred the sharing of technology and knowledge between countries helping and developing nation access new technologies and improving globe research and development efforts. And plus, reaaly useful aspect is that deterrent of conflicts and wars.
One of the problem is that exposure to other cultures through media can lead to erosion of cultural values and traditions. For instance, in my country children know about Hallowen, Christmas and Bon Nights more than they do about their nation holidays and celebrations, such as Navruz and Eids, since they watched foreign content excessively. And the main problem is life could be monotonous as result of this trend. This is because everything would seem the same including architectural styles, films, musics and clothings, thus discouraging travelling around the sphere and depriving countries of valuable source of income
To sum up, growing economics and technological advancement undoubtedly bring substantial benefits. Nevertheless, i am strongly against this change because it poses a threat to cultures’ erosion of cultural identity and seem the same everything.
