It is true that human activities contributed to the environmental degradation through various ways. I personally believe, although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences of this trend, societies can take steps to mitigate these related problems.
There are two main ways by which humans are responsible for damaging the environment. Firstly, because of increasing the number of cars in the roads, air pollution can be risen, which means due to the emission of carbon dioxide, for burning coal atmosphere can be polluted and warmer. Secondly, logging is another harmful activity in which hazardous gases whould not ba able to absorb due to the lack of sources, so that remained in ambience. All this result in acidic rains and consequentely countless draw backs such as destroying historical buldings, monuments, reducing crop yields, and heavy floods. For instance, many floods have been occured in Iran recently, because of changing cliamte and increasing temperature.
Talking about the effective measures that can be taken to bring about positive changes would be to curb the causes. Governments can best encounter the issue by providing convenient public transportations with reasonable prices. In addition, they should legislate strict fines for law breaking behaviors of some cimpanies for cutting trees. At the same time, tree plant programmes should be implemented. Moreover, individuals should use public vehicles, and avoid using private cars. Having followed the regulations, city dwellers can decrease invironmental damages done by them deliberately or unintended. Finland, for example, is a country with limited amount of damages done by residents. Given that, a sense of responsibitity instilled in to residents.
In conclusion, even though humans actions have attributed to the environmental degradation, governments and the public can remedy the situation. In my opinion, providing fast and affordable transportations, tree planting, and sentence laws by authorities and following rules by individuals are steps in the right direction.
