It is being discussed that it is more beneficial for goverment to invest money on railways instead of roads. I completely agree with this statement and think that railways are much more important than roads.
First of all I believe that the number and usage of railways give huge possibilities to people in the sense of being environmentally friendly. With the common usage of railways, it will be avoided from pollution in every sense. Since roads are being used by cars which have bigger proportion on carbon footprint, they cause more pollution. Trains on the railways have more capacity to serve more people as a public transportation while it is costing less. For example, the cost of traveling with a car is way higher if we compare the numbers of people who travel within a train. The price of the ticket is less than the price of the gasoline per person for trips with personal car. That is why it is important to fund and choose railways.
Secondly, with the developing technology trains are getting faster these days. In other words, prefering railways is such time saver and less tiring. Driving cars on roads requires so much effort which makes the driver exhausted. As an instance, the car driver has to pay too much attention to avoid accidents while driving and this makes him/her tired. The needs of breaks which take certain amount of time comes more often in comparison to train trips. Thus, advantages of railways are much more than roads in a long-term perspective.
To sum up, I strongly agree that spending money on railways is more beneficial than roads because it has a good impact on the world and costing less for people in the sense of money and time.
