It is argued that hard work and discipline are the key requirements for success, while others believe that other factors contribute to it. Although there are some other factors which help people achieve their goals in life, I believe that hard work and determination are the main ones.
On the one hand, there are several factors that help people to achieve their aims in life. First of all, some people have natural talent in some field such as music or art. They can achieve success without much preparation, because they believe in their talent and do just without any difficulty. For example, they can play the piano well or draw in a perfect way, and win competitions. All of their achievements come from their natural talent and this may require less effort. Secondly, family and social connections also contribute to success. Some people have strong connections with influential people who can help them to advance their careers. They can provide valuable support. Consequently, their professional network can give them access to valuable career opportunities.
On the other hand, working hard and being disciplined allow people to develop their skills and gain valuable experience. If people consistently work on themselves, their skills will improve and can become masters in their chosen careers. For example, to be a good teacher individuals should be a lifelong learners and must try to develop their teaching skills and gain qualifications. If they do not try to get a language certificate they might lose their jobs and cannot achieve success. Because of determination, people learn from their failures and find the strength to continue moving forward. For example, very few people can achieve their most important goals, because they choose to continue with discipline. However, most people may fail to achieve their goals because of laziness and a lack of determination.
In conclusion, although other factors such as natural talent or strong networking can contribute to success, hard work and determination are ultimately more important.
