Today, in many countries obesity is slowly taking over the population. This essay will suggest the principal cause is poor quality sustenance and viable solution to this arising issue is strict quality assessment by the government.
Food from convenience stores and fast food, unfortunately, are becoming more and more popular among people, especially the youth. Usually, these types of nourishment are made from a large amount of carbohydrates and lypids, which, in fact, are the main causes of fat storage in human body. On the top of that, in order to postpone the expiration date junk food and food from stores contains numerous chemicals, which also affects the overall health and weight. For example, one burger from McDonald’s consists of 43 grams of lypids and some hydrochloric acid. But consumers continue to eat it because of convenience.
One of the solutions to this problem is quality control imposed by government. Restrictions for chemicals and fats in food should be made more rigorous. Of course, government has made some limits regarding the damaging substances in food, but these overlook the things that cause obesity. In Britain, for instance, after introduction of severe rules to the assessment of food quality, over 100 food brands were prohibited from trading in the area, and the average of people suffering from obesity or stomach conditions decreased.
In conclusion, I would like to state that the primary cause for obesity and overall increase in weight is the sustenance people consume. One of the solutions include strict quality control by government officials and restrictions on ingredients in food set.
