The world would be a poorer place without colour. Personally, I completely agree with this statement. The world without colour would be a world without nature. It would be a boring place where all people wouldn’t be happy and would be equal.
To start with, nature would lose its vibrant colours and brightness as well. Diverse natural phenomena are undoubtedly associated with certain colours. For instance, the sun is yellow, the sky is blue and the grass is green. Just immagine that we couldn’t admire sunrises and sunsets everyday. We wouldn’t be able to enjoy the magnificent views of a sea or a lake or any other spectacular landscape. What is more, we couldn’t perceive sun rays and, as a consequence, there would be a shortage of vitamin D in our organisms. Our world would be boring and plain.
Another thing which would disappear with a loss of colours is a difference between people. All would be equal, without any special features. For example, it would be impossible to distinguish different colours of hair and eyes. Red hair and dark hair would look the same. We wouldn’t be able to recognize people if they looked almost equal, and this would be a big problem. Moreover, it could be complicated to memorize someone. This is because, we usually associate a person with a feature. For instance, we remember someone since they have freckles or blue eyes or red hair and so on. So, the colours really help us to recognize people.
All things considered, the life without colours is definitely uninspired and ordinary. I completely agree with this statement: “Colours are the fuel that ignites our emotions”, because when we see different colours, a deal of feelings appear in our body and mind.
