In contemporary society, urban land become a popular issue, while in some cities, governments tend to make shops, offices, schools and homes be separated from each other. From my perspective, the drawbacks outweigh the merits.
On the one hand, there are many advantages after separate these facilities. Firstly, the overly dense layout in urban area will aggravate environment pollution, while separating facilities the air can be purified and the environment can be the better. In addition, traffic jam is a major problem in urban area, gathering these facilities together will cause the traffic got worse and harmful the fitness of people. But after separate these facilities, the traffic congestion can ease and the problem can solve also the life quality of people will develop. Therefore, separating facilities have many merits.
On the other hand, this action has many drawbacks. There is a less space for urban land, separating facilities will cause urban land shortage and aggravate this problem. Simultaneously, separating facilities can also make the life of civilian inconvenience, spending more time on commute. Also, this action will spend much recourses such as fund, labor, material, and many so on. But no one can afford it even the government. Consequently, separating facilities have many drawbacks.
From my perspective, separating facilities can bring many merits. However, people need face many drawbacks and these consequences are unaffordable. Moreover, the recourses that consume in separating facilities can also spend in other more valuable things. For example, government can improve road quality to reducing the traffic congestions or focusing more on environment issue to develop life quality of people and the others.
In conclusion, although separate facilities have some merits, but it has little impact on valuable. By contrast, the negative impact from this action are more than positive. It can affect life of people to a great extent. Therefore, the drawbacks outweigh the merits.
