In many metropolitan areas, parks are used for amusement, relaxation, picnic spot and so on. Some people believe that for population growth park land should be allocated for building houses. I strongly believe that, parks and garden should preserve as long as possible to improve quality of life and city.
There are two mainn reasons for conserving the park and gardens in the cities. The first main reason is people can spend their leisure time in an open place, where they can use a picnic spot and relax in a pleasant environment. For example, nowadays many communities arrange their programs/get-together party and also beneficial campaigns in the parks. Further point in favor of this topic is that parks are mostly decorated with children’s sports activities and materials. As a result, children have play ground as a form of amusement park where they can play like cricket, football, etc and also perform health activities like running, walking and other exercises. In addition, Garden and parks are play a pivotal role for old citizen. It helps them to have morning walk; laughing club to release stress; prevent loneliness; exercise place to be healthy. Furthermore it provides greenery which helps to inhale fresh air, decoration of flowers, these things enhance the city and the quality of people’s life.
In spite of this, Converting recreational gardens into housing will impact on the environment. This will involve cutting trees and creating concrete jungles, which decrease the quality of people’s lives and make city congestion. Moreover, it causes many infrastructure difficulties for citizens, whether they face a shortage of water supplies, electricity shortage, or traffic problem and so on. Also it cause the social interaction where it impact the day-to-day routine of some people, example daily morning exercise at the parks or the community events.
In conclusion it is clear that, there are no substantial advantages in removing these green areas and given their advantages, they should retain and even expand, whenever possible and find other appropriate ways to overcome population growth and shortage of houses.
