In a lot of countries, only a minority with extremely high income exists. It is believed by some that this is beneficial for the country, others however, blame goverment and demand for it to prohibid salaries higher than a certain point. this essay will discuss both views and provide a solution to the concerns of the latter group.
The former group are for the notion of no limitation for salaries, they believe that everyone who earns those kind of extremely high salaries is somehow liable to earn that much, for example a doctor or a lawyer who has been continuesly studying and working hard to reach a specific amount of saphestication, has the right to be paid dearly or it is fair for a businessman, who had dedicated so much time and effort into understanding the way markets work , to earn a lot of money.
The latter group believe that having a minority who’s earnings are many times bigger that a majority of population will lead to chaos and a crisis might happen. They consider this financial differences between people in a society would make the majority feel wronged and left behind therefore goverment should limit the amount of money each person can earn like the notion of communism which the destribution of wealth was goverment’s duty and everyone would have the same monthly income regardless of their occupation.
In my opinion it is not right nor ethical to limit the amount of money each person can earn as long as it is legal and legit, because it will supress the enthusiasm for improvement in people by conveying this idea that there is no need to work or study harder when everything is going to be split equally. It will kill the hard-work spirit and leads to a collective deppression among people.
Although it is true that people with low salaries might feel wronged and this can put them on the brink of rebellioun and this is the government’s call to manage these social traumas, the solution is not what the latter group has suggested. I think that government should pay more attention to the impoverished population and use alternative solutions to elevate the quality of their lives alongside with mitigating the risk of loosing control without putting unnecessary limitations for those who can manage to earn more, the examples of these solutions are improving infrastructures and health care, increasing the quality of lives of people who are living on welfare etc.
