It is true that in majority of the countries, it is compulsory for children to wear school uniform while attending the schools. While the topic having an equal amount of advantages and disadvantages therefore, I would like to discuss both of the views in below paragraphs and will come to a conclusion in the end.
Firstly, by wearing the uniforms in the school demonstrates an equality among the students, regardless of their socioeconomic background or sense of fashion. Secondly, considering the wearing of the uniforms shows discipline and promotes healthy learning environment in the school. Last but not least, uniforms make it easier to identify students in the campus and rest assures their safety by enhancing the security. For an example from my personal experience, one time my school friend was injured outside of the school campus and was in urgent need of a doctor, at the scene an individual confirmed that he is from a nearby school just by looking at his uniform and urgently brought him over to the school medical department.
On the other hand, people say that uniforms are tend to make children feel uncomfortable and limits their creativity and self expression. Moreover, some school uniforms are more expensive than usual which some middle class family can not afford. In addition, uniforms may stop student from expressing their true personalities.
To cap it all according to me, wearing an uniform has more sincere advantages outweighing the disadvantages. But, it is important to strike a balance between making students wear the uniform and allowing them to express their true selves in order to achieve greater success in life.
