In many parts of the world, high school graduates are not aware of financial management. Families do not allow children to interfere with the family budget, and at schools, they are not informed about money; therefore, these could be reasons. So, classes about personal finance might be added to the curriculum.
In most families, parents support their children financially and meet their needs, so children do not have an idea about spending money. Providing children is parents’ obligation, but in some cases they ought to teach to their daughters and sons rudimentary information about money spending as well. Besides, schools have lacked to inform students about financial management, and it causes some problems in their lives after graduation. For example, they cannot spend their money effectively for their all needs and then suffer.
On the other hand, some steps could be taken in order to reduce the possibility of lacking in controlling a budget and develop some skills on juveniles. To improve their understanding, new financial classes might be added to the education plan. In the first part of the lesson, some basic information could be taught such as earning money and how to manage the money that was earned. Furthermore, according to the second part of the syllabus, students can do some tasks such as watering the plants at the school or cleaning the litter in the garden. Therefore, for their work they would be given money, and spend it on their daily lives. And at the end of the year, they may be assessed for their spending.
In conclusion, children should not be avoided from the expenditure of their families. Also, schools have to shape new classes to raise awareness among students. If they are not taught, they will face several issues in the future.
