Band 5+: In many countries, the gap between rich and poor is increasing. Some people believe governments should take responsibility for reducing this inequality, while others argue that individuals should be responsible for improving their own financial situation.

A wide range of countries experiencing increse in the gap between wealthy and poor. While someone tend to consider that this problem should solve government, others thinking that individuals should improve their financial situation by themselves. I strongly believe that both of these statements are true and both sides should take some actions to equal the situation.

On the one hand, government should take responsibility in the financial sectors to make people’s lives better. For example, employees should be paid higher salaries. But, to take this action government need to make less taxes for company executives and employees too. Next main sector is education, reducing educational fees would make the gap between poor and rich less visible. For example, if poor people with kids have not to pay a lot of money for their children’s schools, they will allocate this money to more essential areas. And the most significant action that the government can take is help for poor families, like helping with accommodation, food, medicine and other basic needs.

On the other hand, people can not just rely on government assistance without working. They also should be responsible for their standart of living. For example, individuals who have low-paid jobs can quit their work place and find more promising one. Similar problem in Ukraine now, they have a significant income gap in country. And only one action that people can make and it would really improve their lives it is just quit their jobs and find another one.

In conclusion, both of government and people should take several actions for reducing inequality between poor and rich.
