There is a widespread belief that the differences between affluent and underprivileged are increasing in today’s world, since the upper classes become richer and low-income families become poorer due to economic crisis. In this essay, I will first discuss the possible dangers caused by this tendency before proposing viable solutions to adress them.
One major threat caused by an increase in the number of both rich and poor individuals is social unrest within society. Simply put, high-income earners can afford everything they need, such as healthcare, food, cars, travel, while social inequality can limit those things for disadvantaged groups. In addition, not only does the poverty minimize population’s living standarts, but also their education desires. For instance, some students living in a poor condition are less likely to have access to top schools due to low wages, as some of them live in the countryside where may not provide them with a decent education system. These are the significant issues caused by economic inequality.
However, there are numerous solutions to adress these issues. One essential solution might be the government implementing reforms in order to fund for such kinds of families. For instance, in Azerbaijan, some young graduates are sended abroad to pursue their studies by the government. To clarify, the government take responsibility of everything such as accomadition, food, flight expenses and other expenses. Another solution can be companies raising incomes. As a result, poor employees can afford their needs. These are some of major remedies that can be implemented to solve these problems.
In conclusion, social inequality may lead to civil unrest. However through effective measures taken by the government and companies, these predicaments can be resolved.
