Across different countries, the number of people suffering from anxiety and stress has witnessed an upward trend. In my opinion, a variety of events can cause stress, like work or financial burdens, which will be discussed later. This can be tackled by therapeutic intervention and by helping patients to stop overthinking.
We all have experienced tough times at work, such as completing many tasks in a short period of time or maybe dealing with a strict boss, and these difficult events cause our brains to overload, releasing cortisol that develops stress. Moreover, with high inflation becoming prevalent everywhere, our financial needs have started to become heavy burdens. Furthermore, many people are unable to afford basic grocery and healthcare services. I think that around 60% of the world’s population faces at least one of these two issues.
Stress is not something hard to get rid of, but consistent stress can be a real problem. Generally speaking, therapy has proven to be a successful method to help people fighting against stress. The second method can depend upon the person himself. Sometimes, we overthink about simple things that happen in our lives, making them seem like a big deal, but in most cases they are not that important. Letting go and stopping trying to control what we cannot is simply a successful cure leading to stress-free life.
In conclusion, the difficult life we are facing now has caused people to think and worry more. Overthinking tends to drain our brains, causing us to have anxiety. But we can change that with a couple of therapy sessions and by pursuing the direction that life leads us.
